My Kind of Town, Chicago

So basically, we were privileged enough to go out to Navy Pier (that's in Chicago, for those that didn't know) to the Shakespeare theater to see Twelfth Night. Let me tell you that it was quite the experience. I pretty much loved the play. It was my first experience seeing a play and I wasn't sure what to expect, especially when I heard about the pool on stage - which was not so much on stage, as it was the stage. But I was greatly delighted, especially by the use of the pool. My favorite characters by far were Sir Toby Belch (yes, that was really his name, and he was appropriately named too, what with his drinking addiction and all), Sir Andrew Augecheek (another great name, may I say), and Feste, the clown. They added great dramatic comedy to the plot of the play and were a great antithesis to the otherwise rather melancholy plot. Back to that pool though, Sir Andrew (and various other characters, as well) had a tendency to fall or be pushed into the pool and spent the majority of the play soaked. I was also greatly amused by the prancing and singing and the basic brouhaha brought on by this trio. Especially the part with the bush!! Oh my, great play, really!

Apart from the play, well not apart, let's say in addition to the play, I have been receiving more complications with my ankle. And that's not entirely accurate either, my ankle itself is fine, my tendon on the other hand, is not so happy. It's torn, so I guess I can't expect it to be happy. I'd like it to heal now, thanks, but I suppose it's not going to heal on it's own, at least not immediately. It could take forever, seriously. But as far as I'm concerned, it already has been forever. Let's just say that I'm getting kind of sick of the sharp pains in my tendon. Ahh . . . tendons, apparently they're more important than we thought they were.

On a happier note, though I thought the Shakespeare note was happy, but I guess not everyone is going to agree with that, I am going home in a week now. Yeah, I guess so. This time next week - well okay, a tad bit later, I doubt we'll be leaving at 1 am - I will be headed home for good. And by good, I mean until August. We start again like the 20-something or another. Whatever that Monday happens to be. *shrugs* I have no idea, really.

But anyways, I'm going to head to bed now. I have class in the morning and a rough draft due as well. A reflection essay on Twelfth Night, where I further my views on the dramatic comedy of the play - mostly played out by Sir Toby Belch, Sir Andrew Augecheek, and Feste (and there was no pun intended with the "played" in case you were wondering).

Hellooooo! :D So. Today I edited a photography meme [just to make room for bigger pictures... and make it look cooler, I think] and I think we should do it when you come to visit. I'll send it to you in an e-mail. Let me know what you think! <3

Yay! I loved it. I can't wait until we can work on it together. Finally, some purpose for all of our random pictures! We'll have to go around and take others too, of course. But maybe now we'll have some direction.

Yes. ^^ I think that one will be fun. The only thing, we'd be looking in the same place for pictures... so ours might look the same. Unless we both take some pictures, pick the best one, and we both post it on our pages.

See, I was thinking we'd just do it together. We can take the pictures with both of us in it or something crazy like that. It might be more fun that way. Think of creative ways to take them. I dunno, what do you think?

I suppose we'll see what kinds of pictures we come up with for that, ya know? We'll see. Either way, it'll be fun. ^^
